A shallow porcelain bowl, wheel-thrown and finished with a smooth white glaze. Each piece is individually hand-painted with an abstract composition, sealed beneath a clear glossy glaze on the interior.
Designed as a cat or dog bowl, the form is kept minimal and balanced, with a gentle inner curve for easy cleaning. The size and proportions have been refined over time through everyday use as a dog owner.
The piece was developed from a lack of considered and aesthetically pleasing dog bowls, something that sits permanently in the home, yet is rarely designed with the same care. Porcelain, being one of the strongest ceramic materials, is less prone to chipping and made for daily use.
